Although fast fashion is considered cheap, this type of shopping is extremely harmful towards the environment. According to Business Insider, “The fashion industry produces 10% of all humanity’s carbon emissions, is the second-largest consumer of the world’s water supply, and pollutes the oceans with microplastic” (Johnsen). Many brands like Forever 21 and Boohoo are examples of fast fashion.
However, there are still other brands that do not support fast fashion and instead look into sustainable methods of shopping. This allows others to feel confident in their clothing while knowing that what they are wearing, is not as harmful towards the environment.
Levis
Home to the most famous jeans and shorts, Levis use less water when creating their denim wear. Besides rocking in the cutest shorts, just know that Levis is extremely sustainable.
Pact
Pact contains affordable sportswear that anyone can wear. Ranging from tight-fit leggings to comfortable sport-bras, there’s nothing that Pact doesn’t have.
Gucci
Although extremely expensive, Gucci is one of the most sustainable brands out there. Their high-quality bags and clothing are made from the best quality which makes fast fashion impossible for them.
Patagonia
Another well-known brand, Patagonia carries everything from clothing to camping gear. Patagonia is partnered up with Sustainable Apparel Coalition and 1% For The Planet which makes them perfect for saying no to fast fashion.
Whenever you’re wearing these clothing brands outside, just remember to put on a simple sunscreen.
MDSUN’s Antioxidant UV Protector SPF 50 is catered towards sensitive and acne-prone skin. Most sunscreens usually leave a white residue on your face, but this sunscreen contains a transparent formula. The ingredients include Zinc Oxide 13.75%, Green Tea Polyphenols, Resveratrol, Emblica, CoQ10, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E. As Vitamin C is seen to help repair damaged skin, Vitamin E works well to fight against UV rays.
