What is a bio cellulose mask
The bio cellulose mask is developed through the most advanced biotechnology using natural plant materials. Produced through fermented organic nanofibers, the masks are similar to the artificial skin used in cardiovascular repair. Only 20 nanometers in diameter (1000 times thinner than human hair), the fibers have a three dimensional, interleaved structure allowing air and water to pass through the mask. The bio cellulose mask contains fibers that are approximately eight thousandths nanometers (1/133 nm) the size of those in popular paper face masks.
MDSUN’s bio cellulose mask has natural gum from coconut fibers, allowing easy application and conformity to the face. The mask’s unique properties deliver active ingredients without drying out over the surface of the skin. Lastly, the mask’s breathable eco-fiber has unique elasticity and delivers deep hydration.
What are the different features of the bio cellulose fiber masks and popular paper face masks currently in use in the market?
The effective delivery and absorption of essential ingredients depend on mask thickness and material. Generally, thick emollients carry higher quantity of ingredients but they deliver poor absorption.
There are a number of different mask types in the market, including those made with woven nanofibers, non- woven materials, and paper cloth. They all have their pros and cons. Non-woven masks are generally thicker with limited absorption while cloth masks are prone to tearing despite being easily applicable.
Woven nanofiber masks, in contrast, impart greater concentration of medical ingredients and rarely cause skin allergies. They are breathable, nutrient-rich, and incredibly compatible with human skin. The special bio-fiber structure transmits nutrients over ten times more efficiently than non-woven masks.
Additionally, woven masks evenly distribute nutrients for deep absorption into pores; non-woven masks, in contrast, due to the larger gaps between fibers, yield poor and uneven absorption. The woven bio cellulose masks are far superior to the other popular mask types due to their tolerability with all skin types including sensitive skin.
Bio Cellulose Fiber Masks vs. Paper Face Masks
Comparison | Bio Cellulose Masks | Non-woven Paper Mask |
---|---|---|
Raw Material | 100% coconut jelly | Breathable paper mask |
Production Technology | Mircobial fermentation process | Paper-based |
Fiber Diameter | 20 nanometer diameter, allowing ingredients to penetrate cell gaps and skin layer | 2660 nanometer diameter, unable to allow ingredients to penetrate deep into wrinkles |
Fiber Component | Natural plant fiber | Petrochemical fiber |
Fiber Gap | Relatively small gaps to allow concentrated liquid ingredients to resist evaporation. The tight structured three dimensional woven fibers permit even pressure and distribution across the small cell gaps | Large existing gaps in the paper fiber result in quick evaporation of key ingredients |
Degree of Adherence to Face | Adhere closely to the contours of the face, dose not easily dry out or peel off | Adhere poorly to the contours of the face, easily dries out or peel off |
Sensitivity | Unlikely to cause sensitivity, suitable for all skin types | Petrochemical materials likely to cause sensitivity |
Elasticity | Strong elasticity and transparent quality | Not elastic |
Numbers of Openings | Four openings which contour to the face | Several openings and slits which poorly fir to face |
Fiber Density | Extremely dense fiber | Loose fiber |
Degree of Comfort | High degree of comfort | Not comfortable |
Coating and Distribution of Ingredients | Uniform coating of essential ingredients | Uneven coating and distribution of essential ingredients |
Absorption | Deep absorption, ingredients penetrate deeply to all pores | Poor absorption due to large gaps between fibers |
Allergic Response | Very low rate of allergic response | Greater rate of allergic response, particularly for individuals with sensitive skin |
