About a month ago, I received a bottle of facial serum from MDSun, a cosmeceutical company started by Dr. George Sun, California plastic surgeon and medical-grade skincare specialist. I get a lot of skincare products to review, and many of them are very good. A few of them make it to rockstar status for me, and MDSun Super Hydration B Serum is a skincare rockstar IMHO!
For anyone who doesn’t follow my blog, my skin is very dry, semi-sensitive, mature skin, and I’m trying to keep it looking as good as I can for as long as I can. So I’m always on the hunt for skincare products that hydrate my skin, make it feel more comfortable, and look more plumped. That’s what I get when I use MDSun Super Hydration B Serum. In fact, this serum was made for me.
Here’s what it says right on the box:
- Superior hydrating wear up to 12 hours
- Effective radiant result for dry, sensitive skin
- Balance skin pH level
So what’s in this serum? It goes on to say:
“The vitamins B are essential for helping increase energy. This serum infuses dehydrated and stressed skin with optimal amounts of hyaluronic acid, vitamin B complex and highly concentrated antioxidant elements to replenish depleted moisture levels. It restores the look and feel of skin for a healthier, more youthful appearance.”
I don’t believe I’ve ever used skincare products with (pro vitamin B) before. I have used hyaluronic acid serums previously, but there’s something about this one that makes it seem tailor made for my skin issues. It is truly deeply hydrating. I actually look forward to putting it on twice a day. It makes an almost immediate difference in my skin. I’ve been using MDSun Super Hydration B Serum for almost a month because that’s how long I like to test out skincare serums, moisturizers or anti aging treatment products. But truth be told, I could have written about this serum after the first couple of days. It made that big a difference in my skin!
MDSun Super Hydration B Serum comes in a lovely thick glass bottle that looks great on my bathroom vanity. How nice of them to make it blue to coordinate with my decor!
The bottle has a dose-dispensing dropper. You push down on the top of the dropper and it takes up the right amount of serum to cover my face, neck and décolletage. Although I wish it had a pump dispenser instead of having to open the bottle and use the dropper, I don’t know that a pump would dispense the right amount of serum.
The serum is odorless, rather viscous and clear. After patting it onto my face, it dries within 30 seconds. Then I follow up with a retinol serum at night before my moisturizer, and during the day, I just go for the moisturizer after applying MDSun Super Hydration B Serum.
MDSun has an extensive product line, and I hope to be able to try out more of their products in the future. The products are all hypoallergenic, suitable for all skin types, fragrance-free, oil-free, paraben-free, and they use natural preservatives that are good for skin. In addition, I found it interesting that all of their products are either serums, solutions or gel-based rather than creams because the active ingredients are better able to penetrate the skin’s layers. Very interesting! Check out the MDSun website for further details.
MDSun Super Hydration B Serum contains 1 fl. oz./30 ml and is priced at $85.00. It is an investment, but the bottle lasts for at least a couple of months. You also receive 3 samples with any full size product purchase. If you are interested in the serum, but unsure before spending the money, MDSun offers a sample for $2. I encourage you to give it a try. It can be purchased on the MDSun website. Made in the U.S.
Are you familiar with MDSun Skincare? Are you as big a fan of hyaluronic acid as I am?
